Jerry was introduced to racquetball in the early stages of the sport. Jerry has played racquetball for 30 plus years and has been teaching racquetball for 25 plus years.
Jerry was very active in the sport during the sports most popular years (80's & 90's). During that time period Jerry was a teaching pro in Arizona; top military player in the Army; National Champion in Saudi Arabia; Vice President of the European Racquetball Association; top player in Indiana; Kentucky; Virginia; Maryland. Jerry has also taught at other clubs locally and in Springfield as well.
For 16 years Jerry was a sponsored player with the Ektelon Company.
When Jerry ended his tournament play a few years ago (full hip replacement), Jerry was ranked 7th in the United States in age category 45A and 50A Divisions. He also finisheed that year as the number one player in the Virginia State Singles tournament in the 45-50A Division and won second place in the regional finals in the 45A Division.
Jerry brings his years of experience to the Chinn Aquatics & Fitness Center racquetball courts when teaching beginner; intermediate or advanced racquetball players. Enjoyment from sharing the fun and exercise associated with racquetball is Jerry's focus with each student regardless of their skill level.
